Reference Services
Reference Service is an important service offered by the library. It helps users to make full use of the resources available in the library. It provides guidance in the use of library resources and services, assists in accessing e-journals, e-books, databases, multimedia sources etc. It also maintains a collection of reference books consisting of encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, handbooks, technical data, almanacs, atlases, bibliographies, CD-ROMs, Audio and Video cassettes, etc. Reference books are marked “R” and Rare Reference are marked “RR”. Both collection are kept under lock and key.A copy of the each prescribed text book and other recommended books are kept under text book collection in the reference section and these are to be referred on the Library premises only.
- Reference books are meant to be accessible to as many people as possible, these books are not permitted to leave the library. The viewing facility is available to the students, staff and faculty of the Institute from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on all working days.
